... how is he going to fit into a team that plays ball to feet?
Wasn't that the reason that Liverpool got rid of him?
He'd be good to bring on with 25 mins to go if we're losing, but i'm not sure what else.

West Ham striker Andy Carroll could return in time to face former clubs Liverpool or Newcastle, according to manager Slaven Bilic.
The 26-year-old has been out since February following knee surgery but returned to training with the under-21 squad last week.
He could now face either Liverpool on 29 August or Newcastle on 14 September.
"Andy Carroll is doing really well. He will be joining the squad in terms of training very soon," said Bilic.
"He has been working for a few weeks but last week he was doing individual stuff without any problems so now the injury is gone.

BBC Sport reporting he'll be back by end of August, mid Sept for Liverpool or Newcastle.
Seems ahead of schedule from previous reports of Mid October.

Has to start, great player when fit.
Would anyone fancy a Hernandez + £5mil deal for Sakho? Was pondering on this becoming a possibility earlier - especially the longer things pass with no action for a new striker from Man Utd.

Carroll doesn't train with the other players at the moment. He is usually with Eamon Swift the fitness coach,so the answer to your question must be no. I don't think he has started kicking a ball yet. He's in the gym mostly and running with Swift outside. I expect the October date will be extended to December or January eventually.

Andy Carroll is a fantastic footballer, he'd have no trouble playing in a team that keeps the ball on the ground. The notion that you can't be good with the ball at your feet, if you're good in the air is nonsense.
Andy Carroll's biggest problem is that he's rarely fit enough for long enough
